Thomas J. Newland, MD

Dr. Newland is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and ocuplastic surgeon. He is a graduate of the College of Charleston and the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his internship at MUSC, then spent one year with Dr. David Apple researching modern cataract surgery Dr. Newland completed his residency at Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, Michigan, where he was chief resident in his final year. He then finished his training at St. Johns Hospital in Detroit and also completed a fellowship of ocuplastic and neurophthalmology Dr. Newland enjoys comprehensive and sub-specialized practice in Charleston and Walterboro hospitals.
